Five Senses Retreats – Experience and return home grounded and restored

The first Five Senses Retreats, a new small-group Nordic mindfulness concept, is set to open in Nuuksio National Park from 24–26 April 2026.

Just 30 minutes from Helsinki Airport, the retreat invites participants to slow down, reconnect with their surroundings, and explore Finnish culture through  immersive experiences of touch, sound, sight, smell, and taste.

Developed in partnership with the award‑winning Haltia Lake Lodge, the four‑day retreat brings together forest walks, wild food, sauna rituals, movement, music, and deep rest in one thoughtfully designed unforgettable journey.

The program is designed to help guests step away from the pace of modern life and rediscover presence, clarity, and rest.

Participants move through a carefully curated journey of stillness and sensory exploration: forest bathing, guided reflection walks, kantele‑based sound experiences, creative sessions, and a traditional Finnish sauna ceremony with herbs, steam, and cold‑water immersion. Each day blends nature, culture, and wellbeing into a restorative rhythm.

The retreat is led by a team of expert practitioners, including herbalist Anna Nyman, kantele musician and researcher Arja Kastinen, yoga teacher and massage therapist Claire Ansallem, and retreat host Jonathan Lee. Together, they create an atmosphere where guests can rest deeply, reconnect with themselves, and experience the quiet power of Finnish nature.

If you feel the call to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature, I warmly recommend learning more.
