The traditional Kun hämärtää ( ~ as the autumn twilight comes) concert in Naantali was organized this year under the title “One-hundred-year-old Finland”. In honor of the celebration of the year, a large group of Naantali Aino girls was assembled, attended by both current and former Aino girls.
At the Naantali Church Concert on September 9, 2017, the Aino-girls orchestra presented the song Aino, which included traditional church bells tunes and runosong themes (arr., Arja Kastinen). Themes: Everik Rähkönen – Kirkonkellot (1906); Taavi Kiiskinen – kirkonkellot (1917); two runosongs from Nuijamaa (1917); words – SKVR.
At the beginning of the performance, Olga Kurikka playes her own composition, Syvänne.
Warmest thanks to all the participants!
