Kantele Concert in Tampere at the Auki Yogaschool on the 27th of October 2018

On the coming Saturday, 27th of October, there will be Arja’s kantele concert at the Auki Yogaschool in Tampere (Petsamonkatu 14). The concert starts at 6 p.m.

The music is an hour lasting improvisation in the spirit of the old, Karelian kanteleimprovisation. The public can sit or lay down on the floor of the yoga hall. Arja uses exact and somewhat modified replicas of the kantele instruments from the 19th and early 20th century. The different playing techniques on different kanteles weave a glistening stream of music, flowing forward along the imagination of the kantele player.
