I had the wonderful opportunity to play two gigs with these great musicians, Alison Melville and Ben Grossman, in November in Canada. Here are some photos of the concerts titled From Far Away, Nearby.

The first one happened in St. Catherins at the Rodman Hall Art Centre (Nov 24, 2018), and it was organized by the Gallery Players of Niagara.  We played on and inside and around the Northern Oracle, an installation by artist Heather Hart, organized and circulated by the Doris McCarthy Gallery. Northern Oracle is an ambitious rooftop installation that emerges from the floor of the gallery, and is accompanied by a series of mixed media drawings. Through her work, Heather Hart considers Black histories, access to ownership, taking up physical space, and the significance of having a place to call home. Photos by Colin Savage and Margaret Gay.

Another concert happened in Toronto at the Tranzac Club, Nov 25, 2018, organized by the North Wind Concerts. Photos by Colin Savage.

Thanks Alison and Ben! And thank you Arts Promotion Center Finland for supporting this journey!
