As part of the ‘Kantele of the Runosong Culture and the Dialogue of Creativity‘ research project, the SKVR & KANTELE website was published on the Research Catalogue platform on 28 October 2025.

It contains 422 SKVR texts related to the mythical origins or music of the kantele, linked by region to the old kantele tradition.
Pleace note that the exhibition is in Finnish.
The SKVR collection (1908–1948, 1997) comprises 34 editions and 89,247 texts of oral Kalevala metre lyrics collected from Karelians, Ingrians, and Finns and published by the Finnish Literature Society.
The newly published website provides an overview of the content, contexts and regions of SKVR’s kantele songs.
